![{\displaystyle {\frac {\mathrm {d} S}{\mathrm {d} t}}=-{\frac {\tilde {\beta }}{N}}\cdot S(t)\cdot I(t)}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/c4102f5ee6a05a25802d1af6f464221f57d62d5f)
Setzt man

This file was created entirely with en:GnuPlot. The values were calculated piecewise (using a en:Slope field). The resulting points were connected by GnuPlot.
Note: Some authors use modified, but equivalent forms of the ODEs. Unfortunately, the same parameters are sometimes used. Example for the first ODE, where the infection rate is named
for the sake of clarity:
![{\displaystyle {\frac {\mathrm {d} S}{\mathrm {d} t}}=-{\frac {\tilde {\beta }}{N}}\cdot S(t)\cdot I(t)}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/c4102f5ee6a05a25802d1af6f464221f57d62d5f)
By substituting
![{\textstyle \beta ={\frac {\tilde {\beta }}{N}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/6ba02e398bdfeab672c84e568eaeb0bb5de836b7)
, you get the same ODE as above.
![{\textstyle N}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/0d21d55fc102ec49600d3d5522a59ae4561acc22)
is a constant value (invariant of the model) and not needed for the ODE; in fact, the implementation didn't even use a variable for
